It's potted lipgloss. You can use a lip brush or just your fingers to apply it to your lips for moisture and shine. It is clear so it can be put on your lips by itself for just shine or over your favorite lipstick or lip color. It is made to fit in a magnetic compact but you can use it alone if you want. Hope that explains it in enough detail.
