This item is a quilter's dream. There are over 200 denim squares here -- as many as will cram into an 11" x 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" priority mail USPS postage box, because I've got a deluge of them. I was going to make a denim scrap quilt (instructions are here: http://quilting.about.com/od/ragquiltpatterns/ss/rag_quilt_basic.htm), but I found that I can't work a sewing machine worth a hoot. Time for someone else to finish what I started!
The denim is 100% cotton, 100% recycled from old jeans that I bought from the church thrift store. I then washed them and cut the legs into strips, and then rotary cut the strips into four inch squares. I spent hours (many pleasant hours) doing this a couple of winters ago. There are at least 200 and I'll just keep cramming them into the box until it is stuffed to bursting.
These squares are from a non-smoking home. I have white dogs but they don't get into my craft stash. However, you may find a stray hair or three on these as he did jump on the bed while I was stacking them for the photo!
I'm afraid I'm going to have to charge shipping on this one as they weigh so heavy. A USPS priority box is going to be the cheapest way to go. $12 for the stuffed full flat rate box and that includes a tracking number ($11.65 for the box and 65 cents for the tracking number -- post office's prices, not mine!).
This really is a quilter's dream, because I've done all the work for you -- all you have to do is sew! Please don't hesitate to ask any questions, I'll be happy to answer them. Happy bidding!
