What is the bear's name? And is it retired? (All Boyd's Bears are named and after they make so many of that particular bear, they retire the design making it more valuable).

Hi, Mishie! I'm sorry I don't know that information. I bought this little bear at a sale and have no more info than I listed. That's interesting to know, though. I knew they were popular, but not that they had names, or that some designs are retired. Thanks for your question...:o)

That's ok. I was just curious. Usually when you buy a Boyds, there's a paper tag on it that has the name of that particular design. After they make a certain amount of them, they don't make anymore like it. They might use the same bear design with a few changes for a new bear, but there will not be anymore made exactly like it once it is retired. I used to collect Boyds and I have over 300 retired bears. The last time I bought a Boyds Bear was in 2004. If I come across this particular bear anywhere, I'll post the info for you. :)
