George Thomas "Tom" Seaver (born November 17, 1944), nicknamed "Tom Terrific" and "The Franchise", is a former Major League Baseball pitcher. He pitched from 1967-1986 for four different teams in his career, but is noted primarily for his time with the New York Mets. During a 20-year career, Seaver compiled 311 wins, 3,640 strikeouts, 61 shutouts and a 2.86 earned run average. In 1992, he was inducted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame by the highest percentage ever recorded (98.84%), and has the only plaque at Cooperstown wearing a New York Mets hat. As of 2010, Tom Seaver and Gil Hodges (played for the Mets in 1962-63) are the only Met players to have their jersey numbers retired by the team (Gil Hodges' number was retired as a manager even though he also played for the Mets).
He won the National League Rookie of the Year Award in 1967, and three NL Cy Young Awards as the league's best pitcher. Seaver is the Mets' all-time leader in wins, and is considered by many baseball experts as one of the best starting pitchers in the history of baseball.

Any cards i sell on Listia, were when i bought, when i was about 13 or 14 yrs old, in the mid to late 60's, when there were 6 to 10 cards, in a pack, that had a cheap stick bubble gum,...lol...in them ! These are NOT reprints. I understand, where you're coming from, when you're asking, i would too, in some cases. If you are going to be bidding on something, you would like the assurance, that it is the Real Deal ! Thnx 4 Looking !! I will put up, more cards, in the future, so be assured, that all of MY CARDS are AUTHENTIC !! You Take Care and Have a Great Day !!

LMAO... do I know how to people's push buttons, or what? LOL... Good thing you're my friend Blade...LOL.

Yea... putz had 7 no hitters (wee) and Seaver only had one, but he had 3 Cy Young awards that Ryan never touched and was an all-star four times more than Ryan... and Ryan wouldn't have a World Series ring at all if it wasn't for Seaver. Also, don't forget 10 Ks in a row, the 19 Ks in 9 innings, one pitch shy of a perfect game, a better win-loss percentage AND ERA, and the complete 10 innings in Game 4 of the World Series. They're comparable, but Ryan pitched eight years longer (the Brett Favre of Baseball) with nothing to show for it but a few extra no-hitters... putz... LOL

But none of that is why I was poking fun, it was simply because I don't like him as a person and I dislike anything to do with Texas... (give it back to Mexico...lol)

Oh blade.. .lol... you're not going to compare a high class intelligent leader with a low IQ bumbling Keystone Cop moron that his daddy arranged everything for, are you? No wonder you like Ryan... ;)
