If you mean to the string- I usually am using wire to string with, so I just run the wire thru the loops on the clasps & use a crimp bead to secure the wire or you can use an O ring. These clasps are for making 2 strand jewelry! Did that answer your question or did you mean something else??
Oh, two-strand clasps are WONDERFUL! If you have more, the next time you list them be SURE to put that in the title! You might want to string a few beads through to show how they work for the two strands! Really helps people figure out what they could do with them.
I've tried and tried to make multiple-strand necklaces without multi-strand clasps, and unless they are small beads that can be twisted or just lay together, they NEVER look good. I spent a fortune for a few sterling three-strand clasps, but so far have used only one (kinda expensive to make necklaces like that). So, these are a great find!
Okay, here it goes again ... two-strand clasps are WONDERFUL! I have tried and tried to make necklaces without them, and they never really look right. I spent a fortune on some three-strand clasps, but have only used them once so far, it's so expensive to make necklaces like that! But if you have inexpensive beads, or the long spacers like I have listed now, it's really fun.
