I think it’s to help prevent, or at least slow down, fraud/scamming. A new user cant bid on gift cards without actually putting in some effort on Listia first. Makes it harder for someone that might create a bunch of accounts just to bid on their own listings & hike up the value, or maybe have a better chance of outbidding others. Wont completely stop it, but at least throws a wrench in it. Gift cards usually sell for 3-5x their value; it’s a bit ridiculous.

Yeah. Can be hard for new users to sell big things but just start small. Do free shipping. I don't even know exactly what the cards go for anymore since I can't figure out how to buy XNK I don't know their real value. Wish they had used something more common.

Coinmarketcap.com will give you updated value of INK Protocol..Today is is .02 cents per Ink...100 ink = $2. 1,000 INK = $20.. I hope this helps & good luck on this auction :)

It is important to scratch of card code & pin# for your records due to postal errors or scamming..Should either happen you need the code/ pin for replacement/ verification..

Scammers will say code is invalid & you have no way to verify it & you will lose card & INK ..this is a common problem here..Winner can verify balance at Walmart.com>Gift Cards..Everybody does this to ensure a smooth auction :)

But then can't they claim that the card is used, lie, and you have no proof? I mean you checked the card on the Walmart site before sending but they could use the card and then say no balance. I don't under how it makes a difference. Scammers will scam no matter what. It's horrible.

open a coinbased wallet..MEW ( myetheriumwallet) & follow propmts from there..you must do it accurately or you will lose your INK or any crypto currency permanently..It is on- line only

The best way is to pay with cc/ debit card at auction end for the balance of what iNK you don't have to complete the auction..Listia charges market value & safely handles the transfer..

Yes MEW can do that but if you are using it here on items the best way is to pay for it with cc/ debit card as we can bid without restriction for the sole purpose of paying at auction end with INK you don't have..I do it all the time & it works well & safely..Coin based wallets are VERY tricky & there is no customer support to help with the process..It took me about an hour to safely open MEW

If you want to cash out your INK to paypal from your auctions then you have to open a coin based wallet..I hope this helps :)

If you log the code & pin # Walmart CS can tell you when & where it has been used..If you don't have those numbers then they cannot retreive the info & that is how scammers get away with it..If they try & scam you Listia will still award your credits as you have the numbers for Walmart & Listia to verify as it will happen after mailing & tracking will reflect that

You can validate codes on Walmart, amazon, ebay ect without using the card/ code

Most of us do it this way on all physical gift cards unless we know the winner
