1 package of about .2 oz of CLEAR water beads (soil replacement).I also found that putting about 20 in the bottom of a non-draining pot absorbs excess water and feeds it back to the soil - keeping a plant's roots dry - in case you overwater and the plant doesn't like that.
Add water and let the beads absorb the water - makes about 4 cups of fully absorbed beads. Add a plant and enjoy !! Easy Peasy !!
