Description

The listing, Digital Copy: The Orchids & Butterflies of The Franklin Conservatory has ended.

THE 'DIGITAL ALBUM' CONTAINS AT LEAST TWICE THIS MANY PHOTOGRAPHS... THESE DEMONSTRATE THE PALETTE.
YOU CAN SEE MORE OF THE ALBUM ON MY OTHER LISTING.
I had the surprising pleasure of visiting Columbus, OH earlier this spring... and an even greater pleasure from visiting The Franklin Conservatory.

What an unbelievable treasure The Franklin Conservatory is! I first went with my beloved friend who hosted me on my trip - and spent hours befriending as many butterflies as possible... my hands were busy most of the time, but we did take some beautiful photographs before leaving. Still, I wanted MORE, so I returned the next day while my friend was busy.
Even better, on my second trip I was blessed with the time to photograph the abundance of orchids on my own time. I must say, for an amateur, I think I'm an excellent photographer! ;)
I have retouched these photographs and I want to share the best of these in an album with whomever wants them most.
I hope you adore them as much as I do!
Just a special note: I absolutely adore the photo of the butterfly flapping its wings... this gorgeous butterfly was badly injured after it was released within the conservatory's butterfly room, so I helped it off the ground where it could be stepped on, held it until it calmed down, then placed it someplace beautiful and safe. The reason I was able to capture this image of it flapping its wings SO RAPIDLY is because it actually could only flap them and not lift off, as sad as that is... it provided a unique photo opportunity, though I was not at all thinking like a photographer as I held it.
