There is a marking with the words "stainless steel" on the clasp part. this is heavy duty with a wire mesh center in each of the links as a center piece type look... this is new with out tags... bought it and boyfriends job was too hands on for him to be able to wear it so posting for someone else to enjoy! If you use gin you will guarantee in time for father's day... Will also make a nice gift just to say because i love you to your special guy! Measured lying flat and not clasped is approximately 8 1/4 inches...
