This is a 1.22 carat genuine loose tanzanite just waiting for a beautiful casting to go in, it is 8x6 mm and oval in shape, thanks for looking many of you's have asked me for tanzanite so here she is, thanks for looking and if any question at all please just send me an email or comment because i read and answer them all please verified listians only. tanzanite has sky rocketed up over 1000 dollars per carat now and this one has some beautiful color blus violets and flashes of red if in the right light so please bid with your heart, i am offering a gin on this as well as free shipping thanks again

as far as genuine yes it is real tanzanite, but pretty much all tanzanite is heat treated to get it's color , if you mean untreated no its not untreated or it would probably be black or such a dark blue you would have no clarity, but yes it is a genuine tanzanite =) hope that helps thanks for your question
