Sorry but this item is not Carbon steel, It's Stainless steel. I enjoy sword collecting alot ^_^ so I know my metals lol

Yes it is a very nice piece, love the colors and agree 100% that it is only a showpiece. I don't mean to come off as someone who try to correct people, it's just when it comes to swords, especially the Katana I want to make sure that person knows what they have. Alot of people who sell swords usually have no clue what is what. They are mainly looking for a profit, and will tell you anything to sell you the sword. I hope you did not spend to much on it, for it's mass produced and stainless. Again sorry for barging in with the comment. I hope who gets it enjoys having it. Heck if I had the amount of credits, I bid on the sword myself due to it having two of my most favorite colors. Good luck :)
