Questions & Comments
Wow. I bought one like this at an estate sale. Some pieces are missing. I haven't been able to match fabric, So, hopefully I will be able to if I win this !
NormaJean, I have had issues like that too. Sometimes I hold off and check out older fabric shops or local auctions. Always take piece of fabric with me. Good luck . Peggy
Yes. PEGGY, u have a small zip lock in my handbag that I carry with me. I checked in Ann's and hobby lobby. I am considering switching to a neutral , maybe off white, and cutting all the diamonds out. If I win this I could rearrange and make two by playing with the pieces. Anyway, misery loves company, so it is comforting to know it has happened to others. Any one else have this issue?
Also, garage sales of older people like me that quit sewing or their kids started going through their garages and started cleaning them out "out for them". (good thing mine don't" he is is as bad as mine LOL) He and I like garage sales. As we got older our ideas were different . It used to be bunk beds and kid toys. Fishing gear and hunting stuff. Kids clothes ( he had 6) Now his last one graduates this school year. Just turned 18 today. I'd buy fabric, yarn, kid clothes etc. Work clothes when I was working. Now it is hard to finds any of that stuff. Flea markets are our thing now. A lot of that stuff we gave to Salvation Army after the Hurricanes. Boy did we have kid clothes!!!!!! Fabric is the thing to sell now here. We are getting a Hobby Lobby and I can't wait for it because I am in LOVE WITH YARN right now. I kept all my yarn I got in my 20' and 30's and almost through it now made everyone afghans for Christmas. So I am starting over for Great Grandkids for ponchos and other little things. But you can make something like afghans, blankets , they last for years. A lasting gift. clothes they out grow.. Anyway have a good day. Peggy Good luck in your bid!
