The listing, Broken Ipod Generation Two ...Please Read has ended.

This auction is for a broken ipod touch..Generation Two.
It was my sons and he said the battery needed to be replaced. I have no idea if that was actually the problem but I do know he was having problems with his battery life on it.
He ordered a generic battery off ebay for it. Then my husband bought him a newer one so he never touched this one again. I have no idea if it can be fixed, used as parts, or if I should just throw it away.
The screen is cracked. I tried to take a picture of it but I am a terrible photographer. The back has lots of scratches. But maybe someone can fix it.
It will come to you just the way it is pictured with the generic battery he bought. I'm guessing all the parts are there but I really have no idea.

When my son took it apart the screen was not cracked and as far as I know it did work. However he is 15 and I'm not sure what kind of "work" he did to try to fix it.

I am not sure. I know he told me he needed a soldering iron or something? But he didn't get.
I have no idea if the other battery is in those parts....
I looked at the iPod and I think all the little gold looking connectors are there. But I don't really know what I am looking for.
I will take a few close up pictures and maybe you will be able to tell.

The battery is already off because the screen and backplate is laying next to it it wouldnt be that far from the circuit board because the battery suppose to be attached to the backplate under the screen in picture and the ribbon cable has to be soldered so then it wouldnt reach that far if it was soldered on still.

dude i wasnt talking about that battery duh its new..wheres the other one then if its soldered..you said that the other one is soldered on i fixs these ipods what you talking about the plate goes on top of that big black strip in picture and under the plate is where the battery is taped to.. just go on you tube and see a video, dont you see the plate under the lcd screen..look at pic 13 he flipped the scrren and thats the backplate , the battery suppose to be attached to that and if not it should be on top of the circuit board because it woud be soldered and can leave the circuit board
