This is a TOUCH activated fan that I got on clearance with a lighted mirror that worked the same way. It runs on 2 AAA batteries NOT INCLUDED. You just touch the fan to turn it on it's pretty neat and the blades are the standard soft plastic material that bends so you don't get cut if you touch them.
