You know, I got them because I thought the same thing...interesting. Well, I never used them so here they are. The shipping is so high because it is a very awkward shaped item. It's not flat and I can't bend it in half so I have to put it in a flat rate box. Sorry and hope everyone has fun bidding!!!

Even a long package can go first class. I use either a long envelope, or you can wrap it in that brown paper if you have any. Just depends on the weight.

wrap it? like a brown bag...can you "wrap" everything? I thought everything had to be thrown in a box...hmmmm, I should try it!

Yup, you can ship things wrapped any way you like, as long as it is secure. Use a lot of the large boxing tape to be sure that stiff paper doesn't come undone. Try to make it neat, but you don't have to ship things in a box. I ship all my Listia stuff in little 6x9 envelopes (usually I cut them in half), but it's the same thing .. .a package wrapped in paper.

I would think a paper bag would work fine, as long as it is the heavy type of paper, not a flimsy type of paper.

Yeah, I think that would work great! Shipping is kinda complicated and it can take a while to get to know all the rules and best ways to do it. Once you've got it down it goes pretty quick though!
