Soon Bilbo was drawn into their quest, facing evil orcs, savage wolves, giant spiders, and worse, unknown dangers. Finally, it was Bilbo -alone and unaided- who had to confront the great dragon Smaug, the terror of an entire countryside….

This is new, there is very minimal wear from sitting on a book self. This came in a box set with The Lord of the Rings trilogy. I already had a copy of this in hardcover, so this has never been read.
