Nikki333 Shepherds are my breed of choice too. Life isn't complete without a Shepherd in the family. Thank you for fanning and watching! Fanned you back.
I'm so sorry you lost your German Shepherd. I too have lost Shepherds who are the most intelligent, noble dog there is..(My opinion..) You never get over that special bond you make with them. Thank you so much for sharing! Hope you win this.
MzBrendaJHelsel that's a wonderful idea! Our SAR group in this area always has fund raisers for their dogs and hopes to increase their training funds. Thank you for commenting..Good Luck.
hi Nancy:) , I have not seen this on here due to closing out my Auctions & knee surgery . you have always been so sweet to me & everyone else . I love German shepherds , I have 2 , my Female is a Long Coat at 87 pds & my Male is a regular coat at 132 pds , they are both more towards the darker color , blanketed >as I call it , he is 7 & she is 3 , they are the most loyal dog I have ever been around , I have alot of land & never am I scared . My friends bring thier children over , never do I worry as my grandchild grew up with them . Last year we had some really bad Tornados touching down all over TN & I went to the Grocery store later on that week . there was a stand taking up donations because during the pryor storms , this town had lost of our police dogs ( I didnt know about it ) due to the roof on there kennel had caved in somehow from weather & killed him . When I got home , it really bothered my heart , i have never bred my dog or didnt know my female was pregnant > they sneeked < 2 days later , I wake up to find 2 male pups with her ! she is so wide & short I never knew & her coat is so long . so i called the police station , anyways I gave them a pup for Free & told them with thier donations to rebuild the kennels .Well did not mean to talk your head off :) I was reading all this & makes me Love this breed even more :) . The pup now is going to be a bIG man like his Daddy , he is doing great ! ... I am bidding on this but Good Luck to who ever wins . Great Auction ! Great Person :)
Hi shebabie!! Hope your doing well? Have you had the knee surgery already? Lord you are a glorious person to give the Puppy to the police station for training and becoming a member of the K-9 Unit! The Tornados wreck so much damage and change lives so much ..I shudder when I hear of the deaths and mayhem they cause.
Your two Shepherds sound fabulous! I do think that most owners of Shepherds are a cut above the rest. Dedicated, loyal and an owner for life. Thank you so much for sharing this! I'm still laughing over your female being pregnant and fuzzy..lol. Sometimes they do that..and we never even notice.
F&W, I am parick's wife and must say I love our dog Kodi! He is so smart and will do anything in the world I ask him to. I agree with everyone else on the show dogs, AKC has ruined the breed! My dog comes from lines in Germany and Czechoslovakia. He is large boned, properly proportioned and long haired. His coat is mostly black, though he does have tan on the legs and tail and under his neck. He weighs 100 lbs. If Pat can't get this with his credits, I will put mine on it lol.
Hi Linda807, Your Kodi sounds so beautiful and a true to type Shepherd. I have Max a true to type black and silver Shepherd. He is the most loving dog ever. He was a rescue from Dephi and simply perfect. There is a short story behind my ownership of Max.
The first of May I saw this Beautful shepherd running the roads here, spent days trying to catch him before he was hit by a car. I took him to the vet, did the whole nine yards of vacines, health workup, etc.Licenced him. Had him a week when the OWNER of Max shows up. This dog had no collar or tags.
The guy had adopted Max at the end of January and he had gotten loose on him. I was heartbroken when they came to pick him up. He took off his collar I had put on and let him run loose while talking to me. I was so shocked and nervous this marvelous dog would head for the road again. I cried like a baby when they took him with never a thank you or can I pay you something back for your care of him.
Well my whole year was made when he stopped here and gave me Max this week!! I love this dog and he now has a home for life, forever and forever.
So sorry for rambling on but I love my animals..
I'm so thrilled to meet another Shepherd owner and lover of the breed!!
Thanks parick! Service dogs are so wonderful and there is such a need for them. Thanks for watching and fanning. Even if you cannot bid I enjoy reading all the wonderful comments and am glad you stopped in here.
Thankyou very much to go to all the trouble of writing out what was on the bottom.I have a collectors item shepherd .Its rare because it is a police dog lying beside the curbside call stations. It was given to the officers whose brave canines lost thier lives in the line of duty.Oh great now I'm crying again.I keep it packed away so it doesn't get broken.Nancy I think its wonderful that you put this Bradford statue up for auction and maybe some people who have stopped by to look at your auction have learned something from all the fine men and women who have left comments have learned something from reading them.Thankyou again
Your very welcome lovesdesperado. It is so heart warming to read all the comments. Your statue of the shepherd lying by the call station sounds wonderful. Every year our local SAR teams do fund raisers and one man always has his Shepherds with him. Shepherds do so many life saving jobs that people do not realize it. They would and do give their lives for their owners and families in so many situations. They have the biggest heart!
Exactly what does it say on the bottom?I can't read it on the pictures.I've told people if I ever went blind only a german shepherd would do they have brains.I work the police dog games up here every year and its always a shepherd that wins.We have three that patrol between the house and the barn and somehow find our beds:)I love shepherds,I hate what they've done to the dog show sheperds thats not a shepherd in mind or body.
Hi lovesdesperado. I had to enlarge the photo to copy the info. Here it is:

Fist issue in the Heart Of A Hero collection which is produced in a limited edition presentation restricted to a maximun of 295 casting days & crafted to the exact standards of the Bradford Exchange.
This collectable is officially listed for trading on the Bradford exchange.
The Bradford Exchange 2005
Serial number ( 64-B19-071-1) Don't hold it against me as I am not certain I read it right. I have packed this already for shipping. Tried to read the serial number from the enlarged photo.
I too love the Shepherds. They are the only dog that I totally love for their brains, love and being a part of my family.
The show dogs are not my idea of a proper shepherd.
Hi Nancy, Nice Item!! The Title may refer to Military Dogs or Police Dogs either one as the breed has been extensively used by our Armed Forces since WW2. They are a great breed of dog! Best of Luck To You and Happy Bidding To Everyone!!
