Description

The listing, Stine has ended.

Stine was won from lissa5262. Either shipped broken or broken by sender. I believe shipped broken as it also looks like it was listed on some other service. Also mailed out late and under insured. Charged $15 for that also. This is unfortunate but happens from time to time. Karma will decide this persons fate. I have decided to re-list and show listians. Hopefully I help someone else!

It's spelled "stein" not stine

Being 6'8" some have called me Frankenstine. It also happens to be the name of a nearby watering hole. I may change it, I may not, who knows.

Re: Stein vs stine... just fyi, the book is also "...stein". (Seen "Young Frankenstein"? Remember how Gene Wilder's character insisted it's pronounces Frankensteen at the beginning?) Listia's search function doesn't do well with misspelled words. But it is a great way to pick up a bargain sometimes as items get missed in searches. Good luck!

Vintage German Musical Beer Stein., 11 1/2" tall. Body is hand-painted, cobalt relief with music box in the base.
The Stein has a Picture of a Man and Woman Dancing and a Vine Design. The front has spinning/dancing man in Gold colored background and over his head in a banner is FREUT EUCH DES LEBENS. The Stein has a Lid on it. I assume the song is Ich hab mein Herz in Heidelberg verloren which is what the label says on the bottom. The Stein is in fair condition with chips or cracks and the Music Box works, seems out of tune?

So You're bidding on an Authentic DBGM Ceramic German Pewter Musical Stein with Moving Dancing Man on side.

This is a MUST have for any Stein Collector. The music plays and man should spin when item is picked up.

Date = 1950's - 1970's. . The sides have a painted man and woman dancing.
Plays the tune " Ich hab mein Herz in Heidelberg verloren" which is on a sticker on bottom. The Lid has DBGM engraved and 76.

Item in fair condition "Never used for drinking only display". minor chips/cracks/scratches. Could possibly be repaired or just displayed.

Please note that this item is chipped on the bottom and while it maybe possible to glue I have not done so. Material does not appear ceramic. I will include all and ship insured priority free. Will consider insurance but very unwilling to insure a broken or damaged item. Thanks for looking!

If bidding hits 5000, will include paperwork I started to collect when dealing with the post office. Be warned :They are not willing to just hand you cash! And they may just send it back to me. I will not lie or gloss over any thing and will cooperate in full with the USPS! Don't try to scam or cheat them is my suggestion. Get this item for your own benefit or enjoyment and all will be well. Don't be a listia loser!

Thanks for the support. That's exactly what I am trying to do. He blocks me, waits a bit posts something then reblocks me. Wile picture number nine looks like a close up of the wording I always wondered why it was so strangely off center.

sure, a conversation that was supposed to be between you and I AND SEEN ONLY BY lista. I HAVE NOT DONE THAT! NOR DO I EXPECT TO. I'm being the bigger man, stating what is is and how it is damaged. I did not block or ban anyone from bidding. I expect that karma may be kind to this person. Then again, maybe not...

Still trying the post office...
I am getting a lot of help! The manager of the Post Office seems to be interested in getting past this. At the moment I am at Dunkin' Donuts. When home I will contact the PO and send you a link to the info on listia. Armed with that and the confirmation number I am hopeful. Next time I might just open it front of them. He also said try to resolve this online. Which I will do once at home. Looking forward to Moe listia auctions! Apr 9th, 2012 at 1:43:28 PM CDT (about 1 month ago) by TPenrose6
Now angry at PO and ME...
What I found out via the post office is they only pay what it was insured for! You only insured for $10! You charged me $15 and the cost to ship was @ 11$. At the receipt of the item you also were helpful. But information and emails indicate that some errors were made by you. I was not expecting to receive any thing from listia per any email. What I was expecting was an undamaged and desplayable Stine for my father! Apr 16th, 2012 at 5:19:20 PM CDT (about 1 month ago) by TPenrose68.

I'VE NEVER hid any kind of damage on anything I've sold. WHY waste theat kind of time when aperson would want their credits back??? WHERE YOU damaged it at. I have pictures of the section You Broke which is number 9 in my photos and THERES NO WAY to take that picture without a break being seen. it's a SHORT piece. My picture are CLEAR AND CLOSE UP and BETTER than yours. Your just md because After you couldn't scam the Post Office which you refered to in the feedback, and You Couldn't scam Listia And you Definately weren't going to SCAM ME. you decided to give up with this Karma mess.

feedback you left....."wrapped OK. but arrived damaged. NO USPS joy yet! They want proof of value. Nice, sell you insuranc ... " (expand)e, then balk at a claim! "

trying to scam listia....
Do you have any origanal receipts? Going to try for listia posted info $1==10 points and see where that gets me. It sucks to get something broken :-( Apr 3rd, 2012 at 1:08:21 PM CDT (about 1 month ago) by TPenrose68

Still trying scam listia...
I read so place on listia that $1 will buy 10 points/credits whatever. So that would make my item $303! Now I just need to find where I saw that. Or ask you to send whatever origanal paperwork you might have. The guy also indicated that $100 might just be paid. But who knows if he's correct! Must get to work so may have to respond latter. not trying to scam any one. I plainly state that there is prior damage and rather then deal with you or the post office I re-listed it. Get over it and cry someplace else.
