Description

The listing, Coolidge FREE Postage, Aliens Must Report, Revalued 2 Cent on Cover & More has ended.

1903 thirteen star flag cancel with 2 postmarks (West Stafford & Montpelier)

1913 (could be 1918) 2 cent Postal Stationary card

Health Department, Disease Measles card dated 1922

Revalued 2 cent Postal Card dated 1953

1917 Duplex cance on 2 cent red Postal Stationary envelope

Grace Coolidge signature in place of Postage stamp on 1942 Telephone & Telegraph card (see below for more information regarding signature). I don't believe this to be her actual signature but probably printed envelopes with her signature already on them(?)

1923 Health card, injury to scalp(?) See photo, maybe someone can read the handwriting

1932 green 1 cent Postal Card

1937 cover with cancel that reads: Register or Insure Valuable Mail

1977 postmark with a machine cancel that reads: ALIENS MUST REPORT THEIR ADDRESSES DURING JANUARY

1981 National Children's Dental Health Week

And a very beat up 1909 cover but the backside has a nice B Duplex cancel.

Grace Coolidge Signature Information:
As First Lady and after she and her husband returned to Northampton, Grace Coolidge had franking privileges. This meant she did not have to affix postage to her correspondence. She signed her name instead. Mrs. Coolidge was a prolific letter writer and many examples of her franked envelopes have survived her.
