The listing, Whiting & Davis vintage Bracelet and Earrings set has ended.
My mother (who is now 92) sold vintage quality jewelry. We've been going through the jewelry she has left, and we're going to put a few pieces on Listia, hoping they will find a loving owner.
This set is clearly marked Whiting & Davis on both earrings - one photo shows this. For fun, go to ebay and look at the Whiting & Davis bracelets listed there. You'll get to where you can recognize them. :)
PLEASE NOTE: someone loved this set, and wore it, which is what jewlery is for! You can see signs of wear inside the bracelet and on the backs of the earrings. I see NO damage, but the jewelry has been loved and worn.
The clips on the earrings look good, and the hinge on the bracelet is just fine. It's a sturdy, quality set.

"Designer Vintage Costume Jewelry
Whiting & Davis
Whiting & Davis is one of the oldest costume jewelers in the U.S. According to Fred Rezazadeh, author of COSTUME JEWELRY A Practical Handbook & Value Guide, the firm started as a chain company owned in by William Wade and Edward P. Davis. In 1907 C.W. Whiting became a partner, then full owner. They are known as silversmiths and also for their invention of a machine that could produce the fabulous mesh bags. Throughout the 20th century they produced costume jewelry, the most popular, besides the mesh necklaces, being their huge bangles and fabulous cameos, reproduced from antique styles. Early marks for chains include W.C. Co, for Whiting chain company; also W. & D. On most of their costume jewelry you will find Whiting & Davis Mesh Bags or Whiting & Davis in a cartouche."
I will ship this bracelet and these earrings for free, with delivery confirmation added for safety. I do not collect jewelry, so feel free to ask questions. Nonsmoking home.
Please look at all the photos to get a good idea of the jewelry you will be getting. Wouldn't this be something amazing to start collecting?
