Description

The listing, (GIN)160GB SATA Hard Drive has ended.

Up for auction a 160GB hard drive that came out of a laptop which had its screen busted about a year ago and has just been sitting at the top of my closet. I am no computer technician but as far as I know it worked perfectly before the screen on the laptop was busted..... to the best of my knowledge it has never been dropped or mishandled..... no children have played with or touched this hard drive...... I do not know if it still works but as I stated it worked perfectly before I the laptop was placed into my closet so this item will be sent by myself (The Seller) personally and received by you (The Buyer) "AS IS"...... if you have any questions please feel free to ask I will not hesitate to answer you :) Any buyer who uses GIN will get "FREE SHIPPING".... happy bidding.... I look forward to doing good business with whom ever wins this auction :D

I think what there trying to say is that any information of yours that u had on the hard drive is still on it unless u formatted. If its not formatted then all and any information of yourswill be sent to the buyer, it's like a paper trail but of all your activities that youve done on the laptop. So banking, personal websites, personal information of yours or anything that you can recall doing on this laptop will be sent out. And this is prolly something you may not want. I jus point this out to you since you started that you didn't know much in a computer technicianary way. Getting it formatted would be highly recommended.

Oh I never used any private information on the HDD..... I strictly used the laptop for gaming and typing reports for school.... I never once used it for anything except those things.... so other stuff like my SS number or birthdate or name or any other private info was ever used......

Formatting the Hard disc drive(HDD) is wiping your drive clean(safest way for the HDD to not wear out) An OS is simply an operating system, whether it be Xp,Vista,Windows 7.But u just need to format the HDD for an OS to be installed for the buyer. You need to format that drive, cause it will erase all your important information etc.

Yea,about the HDD's I was being honest when I told you I had won a 500Gig for 9k(Ginned actually). That may be that they have gone for around that, dunno. It also depends on how many people are watching your auction, and if they want it bad enough..

Well I had windows 7 installed before I stopped using it so Im guessing that it was formatted in order to do so?

I would've Ginned your auction,if it was lower.That's kinda high,cause I Ginned a 500GB HDD for only 9k credits.fanned and watching though.

btw if u said it came out of a laptop, its a 2.5" HDD then, cause a 3.5" won't fit into a laptop.Did u format the HDD for an OS to be installed on it?

Actually for about 4 months now I have been watching Hard Drives go for over 15000 and some have even gone 20000 and most of those were only 80GB and 160GB Hard Drives so I thought I was actually being pretty generous with the GIN price..... as far for me formatting the HDD for an OS I have no idea what that means..... but I can tell you before the my screen was busted I had Windows 7 installed and never was able to do anything with it afterwards.because of well.....the screen got busted lol

After the auction has a bid on it it will no longer allow me to edit any GIN options or lasting day options..... all I am able to do is add notes or add free shipping.
