Photo 2: 3 3/4 x 3/4 inch Tortoise Shell Hair Barrette. On inside USA PAT 4976277.

Photo 4: 3 inch Braided Pearl Hair Barrette.
Photo 5: Small Pearl Hair Clip 2 inches long
Photo 6: Pair of Pearl and Rhinestone Barrettes. 1 1/2 inch long. One Rhinestone missing from one of the Barrettes but not very noticeable. (Only one pictured but there are 2)
Photo 7: One Silver tone 1 1/2 inch barrette with butterflies, flowers and lady bug. Flowers have rhinestone centers.
Photo 8: Pair of 1 inch square tortoise shell barrettes.
Photo 9: Large 3 1/2 inch 5 cats with dangly tails and one mouse. Clasp is missing but could be repaired or turned into a pin.
All clasps (except cat pin ) work. Gently loved.

I enjoyed it. I HATE that the clasp is broken but it can easily be fixed. It's truly an amazing piece!!

Honestly I'd never wear it, lol, I just can't pull off barrettes!
But it would make a fantastic edition to any cat collector's collection!!!

Oh I agree! I'm a Cat collector and really enjoyed it. I was cursed with hair that always looks messy (about 5 minutes after brushing) so Barrettes were my best friend. But now I'm pushing 40 and just can't pull it off anymore. So, I wanted to share. I sincerely hope these find a wonderful home with a new Listia Friend! :)-

*UPDATE* *UPDATE*. I just found the matching Barrette for #7. The Silvertone Barrette with flowers, Butterflies and Ladybug. Rhinestones are centered in both flowers and clasp works. This will be included in this Auction. Also, the missing Piece to the Clasp for the Cat Barrette has been located and will ALSO be included with this Auction!!!

Lol!!
For about 8 years now I've been getting my hair chemically straightened as my birthday present from my parents.
I was the biggest tomboy, I think the only two barrettes I recall (if it even is my own I'm recalling lol) were "treasures" as we used to call them, which were things i used to find wherever i ended up going :-)
I think one was a little plastic tiny tiny thing with two hearts, other than that the only brave enough things to take on my hair would be bobbypins (forcefully during dance/gymnastics/cheer competitions) and the good old black no ouchies elactics!!
Oh cannot leave out all those years of "hair scrunchies!"
