Questions & Comments
These are good to educate the beginner but if I win can you take a hammer to them real good and trash for me? Like this comment if you love collecting coins! Maybe free shipping back to China A? Lol!!
Easy enough to find out: if they are fake, either the weight, diameter, or thickness will be off. A fake cannot be the exact size and weight of a real coin without actually being made of the same metals...which is not cost-efficient for the asshats who produce the counterfeit junk. Go to your local pawn shop or Check City type place. Many of them buy precious metals, and will have the machine available to determine instantly if these are real.
Thank you for your comments, i did take the coins into a coin store, they gave me the information that i have provided, this store did not have the machine or what is sometimes called a gun,i forgot the correct term,i called other stores that had this devise and the cost they wanted to charge i decided not to have it done.
How about if you win,you can do whatever you like with them, there is a chance they are real, since the weight is correct and they passed the acid test on the surface,i am only listing them a replicas, so i do not get in trouble with listia, and members, thank you for looking :)
please remember that i have listed these as replica's,so i am not going to continue to respond to weather they are real or not. if you are a collector and want to take a chance, that is your choice and i do not expect the bid amount to go that high. these coins may be of interest to a hobby or craft person, such as a magnet, belt buckle etc. thanks to all who are watching and/or decide to bid :)
Did you do a magnet test on them? When I go to swap meets and see any coin that may have been counterfeited I discreetly test with a magnet. Caught quite a few that way. I lot have iron it them.
I collect counterfeits, don't know much about other coins though. But I only collect those that were made a long time ago. I don't put up with chinese k-rap. I was in Beijing airport two years ago in a secure area and two girls (20 something) came up to me and asked (in good English) if I could give them two $10's for their $20. I held it up to a light and sure enough no watermark. I gave it back and said fake. They disappeared into the crowd as fast as they could. I knew they would have easy access to fake U.S. money but you need a ticket and a passport to even get into that area.
If anyone has a coin that needs to be stamped copy I will stamp for free, just send with return address and a couple of stamps so you can list them or gift them, happy collecting!
