Alrdy fanned, and now Watching. I was watching Animal Planet on tv not long ago and they told all about this cat. May I tell you more? I forgot her name, but she is the goddess of the cats. She is Japanese and they actually have a little area with this cat on display. As anyone approaches the stores to buy one of these cats, they actually bow, say a short prayer, make a wish, clap twice, and it's over, you can go into the store. This cat goddess is supposed to bring you good luck; but it's only the cat with the right front paw lifted up. This cat always smiles, as yours is, and she can be painted any which way, from nice like yours to gaudy or whatever you like. The Japanese actually believe in this cat. She really did exist a very long time ago. This cat was so sweet and very special and loved everyone and looked on everyone with kindness, she has been memorialised ever since. Just a bit of history on your piece. I think the cat is cool. I would not worship her because, I too, am a Christian. You are free to sell the piece or give it away here. People in Japan have this cat and paint them any which way, and sell them in open air boutiques. Btw, they also come in all sizes from very smail to very large. Like I said, just a bit of hisory on your piece.

But it brings up everything!! Like if someone has a picture of a cat just for fun, or of they are saying something about a pet/pet free home lol so when I actually come across real treasures, as this and your item you are thinking of listing, it's always awesome!!

Well, to be honest, over the years I've stopped really collecting anything in particular, lol mostly because all of any collections are at my parents house!!
But we've always loved to collect cat items, and sadly even though I still love to, I don't have a place to display them as they deserve :(
Since I have soo much stuff and not the right place to put it, the days of when I was younger and had my collectables displayed nicely (thanks to my parents of course) haven't returned quite yet.
Although I did tell myself about two years ago when I came across a 'blue cat' item at tj maxx, as well as a 'blue heart' item, and had to go back later that day to get them, that I wanted to collect blue cat items, and blue heart items, which are incredibly hard to come across!! (I was with my mommy and usually whenever i want something I'll try to talk myself out of wanting it for months and months but with tj maxx things aren't that easy to find again!)
I love hearts and cats, a few years ago, i was on a search for a black heart, which there were NONE anywhere!!
Now, I laugh because you can't go anywhere without seeing a black heart!!
Let's see, I've collected pins, pens (the ones that have those little moving images inside and when you tilt it back and forth whatever is inside goes up and down lol)
My family always has loved anything cat, and colorful things :)

I've never heard of that company, but then again, I haven't heard of a lot of things :-) I'd love to hear more about everything you've gotten to do and continue to do!!
I'm so thankful to my mommy and daddy for bringing me up to appreciate vintage and antique pieces, although it probably didn't actually kick in until later on, if I tell my mom we should go antiquing, she might just jump through the roof with happiness and shock :-)
I worked/volunteered for a while at a few thrift stores, and besides getting to take home so many treasures (both truly treasures, and some stuff I could have done without) i took away the value and love of history and true meaning of 'value' beyond just a number.
I have tons of pieces of jewelry, I can't say one way or another regarding anything other than it was brought to the thrift store, but pieces found there surpass anything I've seen in any store to be bought brand new.
I truly love this :-)
