The listing, Vintage Picture Thermometer ~ Collinsville Ice & Fuel Co. ~ Hydrox Ice Cream has ended.
I believe this to be from the 1920's to the 1940's. The picture (Italy Harbor scene) is framed in a black and gold marbled tin frame with a gold foil mat. The thermometer is placed in a cut-out on the left side. It is not broken, but does not appear to work. The advertising on the center bottom of the mat reads: Coal Main So Ice ~ Collinsville Ice & Fuel Co. ~ Distributors of Hydrox Ice Cream. It seems that Hydrox ice cream was a big craze back in 1922. The measurements are: 10-1/8" x 8-1/8". The thermometer cut-out is 3-1/4" long x 11/16" in width.
