Thanks....I welcome your questions.
My son wore these at age 10, but I'm sure your 12 year old will wear them nice...unless they are really tall.
The waiste is not adjustable, but has elastic.
They are cotton with no damages...just the hem of the pants are a little worn because they were a little too long for my son.
All-in-all the pants are in good condition.
