An authorized auto-biographical book written by Taylor Branch who had private access to the President during his terms in office. The book reveals very private & sensitive subject matter that the President intended to have published from one-on-one taped conversations with the author long after his term was over. It contains his most private thoughts as he contemplates his biggest worries and decisions. You'll see a whole different side to President Clinton as the author succeeds in presenting him as very much a thoughtful, sensitive man. I'm a conservative but was very intrigued to see the President as a man with the world on his shoulders & how he felt through all the trials and tribulations he endured. This is an absolute must-read for anyone interested in better knowing one of the most famous people in the world as the average guy that he shows himself to be in this enthralling book. This book is in excellent condition with 720 pages & in hardcover edition (read once) bought when first released for $35.00. It is "deckle-edged" meaning the pages were specially cut to resemble a hand-bound book which increases its overall value. I can think of no one who wouldn't find this book fascinating!
