To use the virtual pad and fully install on PC requires Windows 3.1, Windows 95 or Windows 98, Mac requires OS System 7.1.2-7.5.1 - not guaranteed to run on later versions of Windows or Mac operating systems. I have had reports that the CDROM installs fine on Windows XP.
