50 canna seeds from my very own happy healthy cannas ;)

wate till after danger of frost has passed.
Nick seed & soak in water for 24 hours then lightly cover soil temp 70-75F & takes 8-60 days to germinate. sow to flower 13-19 weeks,... Start in January or February. Nick or file through the hard black surface. When you see white thats far enough. Put seeds in a bottle or jar of water until you see a white shoot coming out. Plant in a pot, put in window or under lights until last frost date.

I have cannas and have collected seeds but never tried to grow them. I love my cannas and think EVERYONE should beautify their yards with these amazing flowers. Even just the foliage is stunning.

the only canna I have seen is a large "bulb"...is this a different type of canna?

no dear,.. same thing its just a different form of reproduction,. the bulbs are "babies" made from the root system and the seed pods form when the flowers die,.. that way the root system usually reproduces more plants in the same area n the seeds are meant to be spread about normally by birds or squirrels ,...
