They are pressed..not in plastic..they get pressed in my family bible which is a blessed bible by the way..when I ship its up to you to laminate it or use packing tape the clear kind.you can also use a photo album and seal it and cut a square out to safe keeping in your wallet to keep with you at all times..=)
