Opal is a semi-precious stone, and these are beautiful, lots of color, but real Opal, Opalite is milky, like a moonstone, only slightly transparent.

Its ok and i know the difference i raised around semi precious stones all my life as well as i have a jeweler i know that tests my items first before i put them out.... and i owned a small company that we custom hand painted jewelry boxes with semi-precious stones mounted on the boxes. we closed the company for 6 months after my husband's father died and we were not able to revive it. i still make custom painted boxesand have alot of left over items that i dont want and if you go to irma.court on facebook or ikaykay138 on mocospace you will see some of my boxes that i made before the mountings on them one or two boxes may have it on them....... sometimes we need to ask instead of assuming that someone don't know what they list.. and this is the conversation i felt that you thought i was an idiot and didnt know anything........... opal is a semi-precious stone, and these are beautiful, lots of color, but real opal, opalite is milky, like a moonstone, only slightly transparent.

instead of ague-ing ... why don't you bid on them and them have them tested at your own cost. these are real opalite as far as i know because that's how i bought them and its how i listed them. if you don't believe their real then don't bid on them.
