They're 24 Karat gold plated, when you were to have bought them back then at Burger King, they came in a nice pokeball stand with a certificate of authentisity and the card was in a plastic cover to remain untouched. That is why when I had gotten mine back then I taped the hard plastic covers so they would not be able to fall open :)
