I designed this bag myself. You will not find another one like it anywhere. These bags are very durable and can hold a lot of weight. They stretch out some with use but spring right back into shape. Crochet a couple and throw them in your car so they are there when you stop at the store on you way home. These also work great for picnic bags or beach bags. With these you will never have to use plastic again. That will be great for the environment! This is a very easy pattern to follow. There are no complicated stitches, and they work up in about 2 hours. This is for the pattern only not the bag itself.

do you use 100% cotton like peaches and cream or something else? these are really cute. watching.

You can use cotton. I just use acrylic like "Red Heart super saver", it is cheaper and washes up really well. I use my bags all the time and like to throw them in the wash allot. Cotton does not wash up very well it tends to pucker and shrink just a little. Great for dish clothes but not so great for bags that you want to be stretchy.

If you are making them for vegi's I would use a thinner cotton between a size 5 to a size 10 with a smaller hook. These would be great for the grocery store, because they wouldn't weigh much when they weigh the vegi's in the scale. I will have to try one with thinner thread and see how it turns out.
