I was unaware that the Mint was issuing 1 oz coins in 1900. Interesting!

Can you verify that date please? Does it really say 1900, or is that a typo?
Also, any chance of clearer pix?

It is not a Commemerative and the mint was not making bullion coins 1900. It is an American Eagle and it is from 1986 or later.

I live in Canada so shipping is slow

It can't be a 1900....the Walking Liberty was not designed and struck until years later. (1916 I believe...but I could be wrong....)

I don't think shipping from Canada is so slow, its fast, and its costly.

No such genuine US coin exists, for several reasons:

> The walking liberty design was introduced in 1916 and used on HALF dollars until 1947; it was revived in 1986 for use on silver bullion coins

> All 1900 silver dollars were struck as Morgan dollars, with Miss Liberty's face on the front and a spread-winged eagle on the back

> All silver dollars minted up till 1935 contained about 0.77 troy ounces of silver and were intended for use in daily commerce, not as investment pieces. They're not at all related to modern bullion "eagle" coins.

The only possibility is that you have a fantasy piece with an artificial date. If it does in fact contain 1 troy oz. of silver, its value will vary with the spot price of that metal. Check a site such as kitco.com for daily values.
