This little device served me well in the year I had it from switching around phones.
Screen's a bit small, as well as the keys. It took a bit of adjusting to get used to the keyboard as I have relatively large thumbs.

Nothing is wrong with the device. Battery life : 5 days~ish : Connected to cell tower. Periodic use (roughly 2 hours).

ESN -IS- clean. Just checked www.checkesnfree.com and verified through Sprint.

All apps may be transfered to the device via USB cable using Hot Sync.
No disk for Palm Desktop available. You may download it online, including drivers!

Does it play music? And does it take videos?

Yes, and yes! Music plays through the back speaker, or if you have third party software you can enable A2DP for bluetooth and listen to music in stereo. Sadly the headphone jack on the bottom is for 2.5 mm, not 3.5. And the 2.5 is not stereo. :(

Unfortunately not. Likely a case would help, but you'd have to order it online. :\ There was nothing originally given for the device to cover for dust. Honestly never had that big of an issue with dust as I could just blow it right off and plug in the USB.

No it is not. I can't say for certain if it can be used for Pre-Pay, that you would have to investigate with Sprint. Otherwise, it's a contract phone.
