its brand new never been read or even had the cover opeaned till just now i ended up w/ this book by mistake nothing is wrong w/ it at all by some mistake i ended up in james patterson book club, i cancelled right away since i dont read his style of books while cancelling i was told i may as well keep the books [2 of the same 1's] its a hard back book w/ plastic top cover & 401pages long i do not know how to tell if its 1st edition or not here's what the cover page says: its copyright date is 2012 THE ISBN # IS 978-0-316-09740-6 i dont know if that helps in anyway if there is away i'm sorry i couldnt be a better help ... tia
