Description

The listing, Amaryllis Seeds! 15-25 Per Pod! has ended.

This listing is for approximately 15-25 seeds from my amaryllis. Most people don't realize that amaryllis produce seeds, as well as grow new bulbs! Growing amaryllis from seeds takes a little longer than just planting a bulb, but in the end, the results will be the same! It does take a little longer for seed-grown amaryllis to bloom, usually blooms will appear on third-year plants versus blooms on a bulb you plant usually flowers the first year. The best way to grow amaryllis from seeds is to purchase a seed starter kit from any retailer that sells gardening supplies. They are just little plastic trays with multiple cells( and a clear plastic cover), you fill the cells with some peat or potting soil made for starting seeds. Water the soil medium, then gently press your seeds into it. Cover and sit in a well lit location and wait for them to sprout. Seedlings can be transplanted to a larger pot to grow the plants. You can then set them out, planting directly in the ground. Frequently water them, as baby amaryllis are quite tender and can dry out easily. with a little patience and some TLC, you can have lots of beautiful amaryllis blooming in your garden for literally a fraction of the cost of one bulb! I combine shipping on my plants & seeds, so check out my other listings!
*** NOTE*** you may receive one of several colors! I have many different colors of amaryllis! The pods are pulled off after they pop open, and are stored together, so there's no way for me to know which are which at this point! BUT, they are ALL really beautiful! Thanks for looking!

Please note, also, the second and third picture are not of my actual plants. Those colors have quit blooming, so I found pics on the Internet to use. My "actual" plants are exactly like the ones shown!

Yes, I have a few that I grew from seed last year, and the year previous. I have not had time to do too much with my flowers this year, so I'm sharing seeds and babies where I can. Just because I can't use them this year doesn't mean someone else couldn't! Amaryllis are beautiful! Thanks! Fanned you back!
