The listing, $2 Bill - ERROR - Federal Reserve Banknote Cutting or Printing Error has ended.
This is a 1976 $2 bill from circulation. I found it in a strap of $2’s that I purchased from my local bank. There is evidence of folds and the top and bottom corners on the left side have creases, as well as the top corner on the right.
At first inspection I thought someone had cut off the right side of the banknote, but further inspection shows there are borders on the back.
This could be a printing and cutting error.
The bill appears to be short but that is merely an optical illusion because of the missing border.
The bill measures 155mm. Most U.S. banknotes measure between 155 to 157mm, so this one is within specifications.
The normal boarder on a U.S. bill is 3 to 4-1/2mm. The left boarder on the front of this bill is 4mm but the right is less than 1/4mm.
The right boarder on the back is 3mm, but the other is 6mm.
The scans are of the banknote you will receive.
The bill will be provided in a Currency Sleeve.
