Better known for his 11 seasons with the Cleveland Indians, Sam McDowell held his own during is long MLB career. He made 6 All Star teams, had the lowest ERA of 1965 (surprisingly, not his career low of 1.81 in 1968), and almost 2500 strikeouts in his 15 year career. The Upper Deck Yankee Classics packs featured players who spent a period of their career with the famed franchise (which Sam was a part of in 1973 and '74).

The card itself doesn't have any flaws. The sharpie of the autograph seems a slight bit faded only on the upper curve of the largest letters (the M and D mainly), but is still an authentic autograph of the player. It's been placed in a sleeve and top loader from the moment I pulled it from the pack years ago.
