Grand Theft Auto IV (4)
GTA:IV GTA4
PC Windows Game (DVD)

Requirements (According to Package):
Windows XP SP3 or later (ie Vista or 7)
Intel Core 2 Duo 1.8GHz or higher
or AMD Athlon X2 64 2.4GHz or higher

1.5GB RAM or more Vista or higher
16GB Hard Drive Available Space
256MB or more ATI X1300 or higher
256MB or more Nvidia 7900 or higher

Bought this game for my laptop without reading the specs, and it did play, but would crash, due to low end graphics from Intel, so my loss is your gain.

Comes with everything that comes in the package new. Does contain DVD, Books, and Case.

Sorry, can't take any pictures, as my camera is down, but this is a legit auction, and if you have any questions, feel free to ask below, or send me a message.

Thanks for looking, and good luck on bidding :)

Edit: Game is practically brand new, opened and pulled from case once to find out my laptop was not compatable.

The new FX processors work best with windows 8. You get like a 15% boost in performance.

No interest in 8, has a bunch of crap I'd never need... Dummied down 7 and it is perfect for me :)

To me vista felt like it made my pc slower than 7
Jun 4th, 2012 at 8:00:55 AM PDT by

Yeah, really it came down to something like this:
Windows 98: Okay
Windows 98SE: Even Better
Windows XP: Better Still
Windows Vista: WTF Was Micro Thinking
Windows 7: About freaking time...
LMAO!!!!

Yeah, forgot what the multiplier was, haven't had that system in over 2 years since I build an upgraded one. But seems to me, that I thought it was only at 11x, but still not bad for a locked core :)

I live the FX unlocked multiplier. And so sorry about flooding your auctions with all my comments
Jun 4th, 2012 at 11:33:21 AM PDT by

That's alright, it's all good... Thought all the FX's were unlocked though?
Jun 4th, 2012 at 3:01:44 PM PDT by
Original
Yea all are unlocked but they over clock different
Jun 4th, 2012 at 3:02:48 PM PDT by
Original
Yeah, I know they all different, just wasn't sure if they were all unlocked... Haven't tried overclocking mine yet, but at 3.8GHz and 4.1 Turbo, not worrying about it now... Just started having issues, and thinking my board is messed up or my PSU is, but gonna get it checked out tomorrow for sure.

That would suck if the mobo died
Jun 4th, 2012 at 5:25:17 PM PDT by
Original
Yeah, not sure... Buddy of mine works for a local computer store... Every time I plug something in to a USB port it shuts off (quick like being unplugged) and then turns back on.... Thinking it might be the power supply, because it was from my original build, along with the case. Could be causing a sudden draw in power, and the PSU is shutting down from the sudden need of the extra 5volts or something.
Jun 4th, 2012 at 9:26:34 PM PDT by
Original
yea sounds like the PSU how many watts is it ?
Jun 5th, 2012 at 6:07:33 AM PDT by

850watts Modular.... Did it to me again last night when I plugged in my 360 controller to it.... I'm thinkin PSU due to the sudden spike in power shorting out or something. Gonna have my friend look to be certain.

Windows 8 Developer Preview: it was ight
Windows 8 Consumer Preview: better than 7
Windows 8 Release Preview: (released june 1st): faster & looks a little bit better than 7. actually like the start menu on here
Jun 5th, 2012 at 5:08:59 PM PDT by
Original
Yeah, sticking with 7 though....

Phenom II were great but Athlon wasn't that far behind them
Jun 4th, 2012 at 7:56:22 AM PDT by
Original
Exactly... That is why I went with the 6000+ 125w version... When I read online that because it uses so much power that it already runs hot, and that you can overclock like nuts, and not overheat, I was in heaven... Just Vista had a limit... 7 did too when I put it on the machine, but atleast on 7 I could get up to 3.82GHz instead of 3.67, but to each their own.

I like it especially now that you can fully utilize a touch screen monitor and download apps and play on Xbox live ?
Jun 5th, 2012 at 7:05:51 PM PDT by
Original
From what I read and understood, it is mainly for like touchscreen/tablets/etc. It looks good and all, but a whole bunch of useless stuff I don't need. I only use a 360 controller for games on PC, don't own an XBox, and don't want a touchscreen, lol.
Jun 5th, 2012 at 7:22:58 PM PDT by

I own a Xbox 360 and touch screen they rock lol I just like to move with the new

I had a 360, but didn't make sense to me to have a bluray and a 360 on the same shelf, so changed it out for a ps3, so one less device on my entertainment center.
Jun 5th, 2012 at 7:52:55 PM PDT by
Original
Yea I get what your saying. I have a 3D bluray player I'm trying to get rid of now because I have a ps3 and my rig has a bluray drive so it's useless to me now
Jun 5th, 2012 at 7:55:24 PM PDT by
Original
Yeah, put the BluRay in my bedroom, to replace the ancient thing they used to call a DVD Player, lol. But I got the PS3, because it has almost all the same games I play on 360, and has a BluRay built in, so it all works :)
Jun 5th, 2012 at 8:04:32 PM PDT by
Original
Yea I prefer 360 over ps3 just because of online multiplayer .... Check out my auctions
Jun 5th, 2012 at 8:07:21 PM PDT by
Original
Yeah, I like 360 slightly better, because it has better rendering and shading on games, and the online is much better. PS3 takes a little longer to render, and the online is horrible. Reminds me of the PS2, lol.
Jun 6th, 2012 at 7:02:06 AM PDT by
Original
When I played the ps3 online it lagged like crazy and the game will slow down smh horrible
Jun 6th, 2012 at 7:03:27 AM PDT by
Original
Yeah, I have that problem worse, because I got DSL... My download is 20mbps but upload is killing me at only 860kbps... Had cable but I switched to Satelite and they use the local phone company... Not too happy with them right now, so I don't do much of PS3 online :(
Jun 6th, 2012 at 7:06:06 AM PDT by
Original
I use to have DSL down: 1MB UP: 500KBs now I have uverse Down: 6MBs UP: 1MBs
Jun 6th, 2012 at 7:15:48 AM PDT by
Original
Yeah, it kills me... I play Need For Speed World Online PC Game, and it keeps booting me because of the slow upload, keeps losing connection because of that, and unfortunately that is all they offer in my area. Had cable with 50mbps download and 20mbps upload, and I miss it every day :(
Jun 6th, 2012 at 7:17:42 AM PDT by
Original
Yea feel the same because my Internet is slow ass hell especially when I tried playing world of Warcraft it was horrible I couldn't even move lol
Jun 6th, 2012 at 7:20:47 AM PDT by
Original
LOL. It's not the download, it's the slow upload of DSL that kills you... Supposedly better than cable, but it's not :( If cable wasn't so much, I'd switch back, but instead, I deal with the stress of upload. I do a business from home, and it takes forever to upload attachements to email as well :(

Jun 6th, 2012 at 7:51:15 AM PDT by

I think a friend of mine tried that, but he had problems with it or something, unless that is another company I'm thinking about... Isn't Uverse through ATT?
Jun 6th, 2012 at 7:53:31 AM PDT by

yea i have there internet and tv haven't had any problems since getting them but its different in different places.
Jun 6th, 2012 at 7:57:15 AM PDT by

Yeah, just checked their availability on internet on their site and saying not available for our address, is it through the phone line, cable or dish? Could be because our house has to say "Office" after the address, might try calling them.

May 31st, 2012 at 5:42:00 PM PDT by

Yeah... Got me the nice 55" for the living room, and a cheap crappy 42" for the bedroom. All is good... Got a nice 32" Vizio for christmas that I'm gonna use on my new killer custom rig in my den. Nothing fancy, haven't even taken from box yet, it's not a 3D though.

key still work? if so how many activations have you done & how many computers used it?
May 29th, 2012 at 12:50:17 PM PDT by

The key should work. It did ask me for the key, but when I uninstalled it, due to not working on my laptop because of the graphics card being non-compatable, it did bring up a window that allowed me to unregister the key, to install later.

m GT for GFWL is A SKITZO MANIAC im trying to get my backup drive going because right now my GTA4 discs are not working. it says Data2 is invalid or corrupt. its never said that ive cleaned it and all and it still says it. & i think the images are on the backup drive.

Never heard of that error, mine would just crash after loading, and a window would pop up saying that my graphics chipset wasn't compatable with the game. I have an older laptop (2 of them a Dell and a Toshiba) and both have Intel Pentium Duals with Intel Graphics... I tried it on the better one Intel Mobile Accelerator 4500HD and it didn't work either. Guess it just has to be ran on a decent desktop or a newer laptop.
May 29th, 2012 at 5:12:40 PM PDT by

Had this game before, and it was an older copy that would play on my older laptop that was a single core, but guess the newer ones require better hardware. Just my laptop is kinda basic. Both laptops have the same chip, just my Dell is a newer and faster chip, has the 45nm instead of the 65 and is a 2.66GHz instead of 2.23GHz... All around better, but apparently still too slow for the game.

this is my specs on my computer: Processor: Intel Pentium Dual Core E5300 2.6GHz OC to 3.25GHz FSB from 800 to 1GHz RAM: 5GB DDR2 667MHz to 800MHz HDD:500GB Seagate Barracuda 7200.12 Sata 6Gbps not all 7200.12 are 3Gbps though. its the model number on it for some reason. Graphics: MSI Radeon 4670HD GDDR3 Graphics Speed: 750MHz to 800MHz Memory Speed: 800MHz to 850 sometimes 900MHz or as MSI site says its 1600MHz stock. Motherboard: XFX 680i SLI LT so mine will play it around medium to almost high settings sometimes low to medium. but i just play around with it to see what i can get better FPS on settings i like.
May 30th, 2012 at 3:35:45 PM PDT by
Original
Yeah, I've played it on worse, like an old P4 HT, but depends on the setup. Just my laptop has the dreaded integrated Intel graphics, which is bottom of the list on graphics.
