Stainless shouldn't irritate, tho if your skin irritates from less pure precious metals (10k gold vs. 24k gold) you may have problems. Also, if it is plated, usually is a nickle plating and the nickle will most likely irritate if you have general metal problems...and, just from the work I do, I can tell this has some sort of plating on it...though it looks more like a brass, possibly a colored nickle...but colored nickle doesn't seem likely. It could also be an anodized (strengthened and colored metal prior to casting) and if it is an anodized stainless, then you should have no problems. Oh, Watching and fanned :)
