Condition / Details. This is a hard cover book in good condition. It measures 5” wide X 7-6/16” tall X 1-1/4” thick with 520 pages. It’s very ornate – calf skin leather with decorative papers on front/back – decorative spine with raised hubs and gilt title/volume lettering – page edges are colored and match the marbled paper on the cover. The interior pastedowns also have matching paper. There is moderate shelf wear to the book – see photos – wear to edges, corners, and paper on covers. Front hinge is still attached but is split about 2-1/2” down from top edge. There is some foxing to the first 6 pages that includes a few creases and a wrinkled tissue page over the frontispiece. Pages are lightly age-toned but are free of rips, tears, stains and markings.
