One of my most favorite memories being little was going to a friends for the weekend and we got to make these. I have not seen them in awhile and ran across them at a local craft store and introduced them to my grand-daughter.

This is a frame with plastic beads. You lay this on a cookie sheet covered in foil and then you add the colored beads and then bake it Ages 8 and up (Does take adult supervision). When it is done baking and cooling, the beads have melted in the openings of the metal frame to give a translucent color that looks like old fashioned stain glass. Comes with suction cup to hang in window.

Winter is here and this is a fun indoor project for kids on a day to cold or rainy to get out. Or I use things like this to introduce art to my grand-children.
