No, The back has not been carved and is just a standard buffalo nickel with the exception of DAK has been scratched on it in small lettlers.

Sorry, I mis-spoke... this coin does NOT have initial carved on it, I in error, thought the question was regarding a hobo carved nickel I also have listed.

The back of this coin is in good shape about 3/4 horn shows.
