now i feel like a pain in the butt. You say 16 - 17 inches on stretchy string. If there is no clasp on the necklace..how far does it stretch to fit over someones head? LOL An average size or medium head (according to hat sizes) is about 21-22 inches. Will it stretch AT LEAST that far and not break?
