The listing, Gateway computer - not working - please read has ended.

This is a Gateway laptop I got from e-bay not realizing it didn't have a hard drive or operating system (shows how computer illiterate I am!). It can run Windows 2000 - still has the key number on the back. It also comes without a power cable.The screen is 15" diagonal. If you have any other questions, I will try to answer them the best I can. Please, be nice!

@ crazywood if there is a gin(get it now) that is like buy it now for a certain amount of credits the lister wants to sell it outright, if there is no gin then you just bid the amount you are willing to spend providing you have the amount and hope you are the high bidder in the end to win said item

have to tried to turn it on? Some times people comfuse the CD rom driver with the actual hard drive.

It turns on, but a friend checked it out and said it has no operating system or hard drive. I wonder about the hard drive, though, because it tells how much RAM it has. Would it have RAM with no hard drive?

I don't either. A friend who owns his own computer business checked it out and said it has no hard drive or operating systems (like windows). That's all I really know about it. Thanks for the question.

Hi i won a as is dell latitude d620 with intel core 2 duo. and all is wrong is line in screen and i had to buy a used sata hard drive from local computer shop i bought microsoft windows 7 home premium upgrade off ebay as the laptop. seller ok. so get a dell ok. off e-bay and microsoft windows os to. hopes this helps you selller from goldnstar on listia.com

fyi, yes a computer can have RAM without a hard drive, they are two different things connected to the motherboard and not each other.

The bidding process works simular to eBay -- But we bid with credits !!!

One thing many people are not aware of is DISPLAYED BID is not ACTUAL BID

If I was the first bidder (100 credits ) it may only Display 2 credits

And as bidding steps up it increases --but you are not sure of TRUE BID

I wait for last minutes of auction to bid and overbid to compensate for error
