This commemorative transit fare token was created for the Southern California Rapid Transit District in cooperation with the Los Angeles Olympic Organizing Committee for use during the 1984 Olympic Year.This token was distinctly designed and crafted to illustrate the sport of Basketball represented at the 1984 Olympic Games. The reverse side bears the official symbols of the XXIIIrd Olympiad. It was designed by the noted numismatic artist N. Neil Harris
Token is made of brass and diameter is 31 mm.
