Description

The listing, Brand New RoadMaster Granite Peak 26" Ladies' OR Mens' Mountain Bike Bicycle has ended.

I am relatively new here to listia but I saw that user "listia" had a set of bicycles on a listing that went pretty well so decided to have a little fun and try the same thing.

First of all, if you would like to see the details of the bicycle you will be receiving with the winning of this listing, here is a link of exactly where I will be purchasing it and having it shipped directly to the winner.

http://www.walmart.com/ip/Roadmaster-Granite-Peak-26-Ladies-Mountain-Bike/15711165

ASSEMBLY WILL BE REQUIRED! - So please do not bid if you're not at all "handy" or don't know someone who is that can assemble this bicycle for you - THE BICYCLE YOU WILL BE GETTING WILL COME IN ITS ORIGINAL BOX, BRAND NEW!

AS A BONUS, IF THIS LISTING REACHES 150k CREDITS, THE WINNER WILL BE GETTING A FREE SCHWINN ADULT HELMET (I will be purchasing that from AMAZON.com and having it shipped directly to the SAME address (only) so it will probably arrive on a different day) - Helmet will be won ONLY with a WIN OF 150 THOUSAND CREDITS!

Tracking will be provided with both packages (as a tracking number usually is provided with purchases from both online stores)

Any questions or comments will be more than welcome. This bicycle will be shipped directly from Walmart.com to ONE address that the winner specifies.

Please fan me and check out my other two listings! Have a great day guys & GOOD LUCK!

LOL, I'm only 20 and have no kids but in all honesty, I'm not sure how old your daughter is, but I wouldn't get any child of mine a car until they're at least 18 & have at least 2 years of supervised driving experience. Sure she may not be as "cool" looking on a bike than she would be in a car, but she'd be getting exercise, would be much safer during transportation, & later she'll realize looking "cool" is overrated anyway! If anywhere she NEEDS to go isn't that far, then a bicycle is definitely a better choice. Just make sure that she, you, or someone you know is "handy" enough to assemble the bicycle for her. Wal-Mart only assembles bicycles that they put in their stores. I'm sure there will be thorough instructions in the box, but I just don't want any angry people if the winner sucks at assembling anything at all and then blames that on me! It's definitely not rocket science though, I'm a 20 y/o female with barely any common sense (LOL) when it comes to tools etc, but I assembled my 4 year old little brothers' bike in only about 25 minutes a few weeks ago. Anyway good luck and thanks for the fan/comment!

I also want to add this tidbit, while I was writing my last response, I just wanted to say that to anyone who would like this bicycle but don't think they can assemble it or don't want to, I think I might give an option to whoever wins this to get a WALMART gift card for the AMOUNT that the bicycle costs (88.00) PLUS tax (IN YOUR STATE). I'm pretty sure the bikes Displayed (already assembled) at Wal-Mart don't cost anymore for their pre-assembled state. The bicycles being offered are sold at my local walmart so I'm assuming that if you're bidding, there's a good chance they might be offered at your local Wal-Mart as well. But YOU have the responsibility of checking online if they are! The only thing is that if the winner would choose this option instead, I am ONLY sending the gift card via PHYSICAL mail WITH tracking and delivery confirmation to ONLY a winner with at least 10 seller feedbacks,. That is all.

Although this seems like a really great auction, I don't understand how you are able to auction off an item that you currently DO NOT have in your possession. An auction like this may seem a bit more suitable coming from a Vet Listian. However, as a member for less than a month and only two small auctions thus far (not to mention you haven't even received your Trusted Seller Badge), you most likely will not receive the same results as "Listia" did when they auctioned off a bike.

So I'm wondering if this is even allowed on this site. Can we really auction off items that are not in our possession and that we claim we'll purchase when the auction ends? Can someone please clarify this for me.

Otherwise, I have Fanned and will be Watching. Good Luck & God Bless! ~JG~

Hi. I completely understand you wariness of my listing. Now that I've thought more on it, it probably would've been far smarter to wait until I had at least 10 more seller feedbacks to create this listing. I had just sold about 300 bucks worth of items on ebay a few weeks ago (username best4less2010 if you'd like to check that out, I'm only 20 but I'm certainly not new to selling items online) and still have 150$ of it left , so figured ( when i decided to make this listing) why not? Im certainly aware now that this listing will not come even close to what user "listia" got theirs to. However I've already listed it, and trusted listians have already bid so I have no choice now but carry out through with the listing and deliver what I have promised to the winner. You live and you learn, no big deal. As far as it being allowed on listia, i don't know much about listias rules, but im fairly sure it is. I listed a iPod dock plug about the same time that I listed this and a listia mod commented on it saying something about photos, and I promptly told the truth and informed them in my response that I didn't have the item I hand but would have it shipped to the buyer via a third party. That particular listia mod just messaged me back and said thanks for responding. So I'm assuming since they didn't have that listing taken down, that they're fine with it.

Well the only problems I have had are with people who either want you to send a ton of shipping cost through paypal and then never send the item, or do not put a tracking number on high value items. We were all new here at one time and had to put our trust in people and Listia to do the right thing...I will be bidding high so no worries there...plus i checked the stoe near my house and I can pick it up there so hopefully no shipping costs for you if i win. Fingers crossed

Yea I have a feeling someone will get a great deal on this. And sadly, I didn't even know what sellers wings were until AFTER I posted this listing lol but that piece of advice sounds right on.

List some small items and get your sellers wings. I'm glad I just happened to see this when I did.

ONLY 42 Minutes left...hurry so we can bid high and get this auction closed for you...I have a feeling you will get tons of credits with this one ;)

Hopefully you're right! But if it doesn't, oh well. Just gotta face the facts that not a lot of people on here have trust in people without much feedback (which it's beyond me why ,considering that listias protection policy etc. seems pretty solid to me). You live and you learn I guess. I'll just have to make up for it with many listia listings to come! Happy bidding and thanks for the comment.

Forgot to mention ( to those who aren't familiar with Walmart.com) that you can check your local store availability on the items' Walmart website page ( link is in the listing for womens' and in one of the first comments for the mens') just type in your zip code when they ask and they'll show you if you'll be able to pick it up yourself in your area or not. This option for anyone who would like the bike quicker than the shipping option (as I WILL choose the most economical shipping option).

I really really need this bad. I'll be keeping this window open till the end. Thanks for listing this.

Just please make sure you have a physical address and not a PO BOX to give me if you want the bike shipped, OR a Walmart in your area that has the bike you'd choose available in-store. Crossing my fingers for you as you seem to really need it! Happy bidding!

awesome auction! i could never come up with the cedits needed but i love the way you do business. Good luck! fanned you :) it has been my experience that most people on listia are good people but there are the few who are rude. Personally i delete any rude comments. But i have made quite a few listia friends and they make it all worthwhile.

Put me on the list of those listia friends! And yes I've experienced communication with lots of nice people here on listia and I've only been here a month! Thankfully they significantly outweigh the rude and greedy listians. I hope to have plenty more auctions here on listia as I build up my feedback. I've fanned you & will definitely look out for your future listings! Thanks for the comment/compliment & have a nice day.

Don't let some people on here get to you, there are a lot of rude members on here that try to do this so no one will bid and they can then swcop in an get the item cheap because they have bad mouthed you so everyone's afraid to bid. Welcome and good luck with your auction

You just got the most deserved "fan" of mine since I've been a member here on listia! I really appreciate that advice and support. I'm familiar with bitter, jealous, and/or greedy people on eBay using the feedback system to do the same thing, but I never would've guessed that it was an issue here on listia! That last guy sounded sincerely concerned, too! This site sounded like a great idea to me (and still does) but I guess every site has their flaws, right? Now I just wish they could do a morality background check before allowing people to comment! LOL oh well. A girl can dream. Thanks again for the kind words. I really appreciate your welcome. Good thing there are more nice members like you here on listia than there are of the rude ones! Hope to see you bid and have a great day.

I give ANY person who wins this listing FULL AUTHORITY to file a claim or report me to listia or w/e it is you do with scammers on here) if they don't receive within 48 hours of the end of this listing( via email, which I'll ask for) a FOWARDED Walmart.com email order confirmation AND then shipping confirmation with specific details such as the shipping address etc. If that doesn't convince you that I'm for real here then I don't know what else to say. Chances are this listing wont go much higher, if at all, due to my inexperienced status on here, so the way i see it is that if you or any other interested member does not bid , youre just missing out on a great deal caused by my premature lunging to get ahead ( but fully intending to carry out the transaction, no matter what the Listing ends for), so your loss. Thanks for the comment. Have a great day.

UPDATE: I've added some words to this listings' title AND a new Photo because I decided also giving the LISTIA MEN a chance a shot to win a cool bike too!

The winner of this listing will have a choice between ONE of the two bikes in the photos above. Here is the link for the male bicycle:

http://www.walmart.com/ip/Roadmaster-Granite-Peak-26-Men-s-Mountain-Bike/15711164

Just as I said for the Ladies' bike, if you choose the male bike, the bicycle will NEED to be assembled, is New, and will be shipped directly from Walmart.com via the most economical shipping available w/ tracking.

Thanks so much for the advice and what a generous thing to do! It's been a long while since I've ordered anything sent to my house from Walmart.com so that advice could come very helpful. I live right across the street from a Walmart so with free site to store shipping on a lot of their items paired with the fact that I do most of my shopping there anyway, it's usually advantageous for me to pick up any order from the site at the store. I will definitely add that tidbit as an update to the listing. Thanks again, hope to see you bid. Have a nice day.

Most of the time when you order something at your wal mart they will ship ups to the address you send it to unless its a Post Office Box.So you need to make sure the winner has a full address not a p.o. box.
I just order and shipped over 20 bags of horse feed to Colorado for the horse rescues that are in the line of that nasty fire and my local wal mart sells the horse feed.and they wanted a physical address .
