The listing, PS3 controller has ended.

This controller is in great shape. Comes with a USB drive which must be plugged in to your PS3 for the controller to work. The controller also takes 2 AAA batteries and had an on/off switch on the bottom to save the battery life when not in use. There are batteries still in it, however I'm not sure how much life they have left. Controller works just fine we just didn't like the way it felt in comparison to the other controllers we have (it's just a bit wider in spots).

if i purchased rechargebable batteries for it,is there some form of adapter i can use to charge ?

The batteries are what run the controller. If you buy rechargable batteries, then it's up to you to charge them on an adapter. The control came with itself and the thumb drive, nothing else. So if you buy the batteries, you'll have to buy the adapter.

this is a link to the exact one that we purchased at GameStop. I didn't notice it saying anything about SixAxis, but you can read reviews and a bit more of a description about it there.
