The listing, German Carved Wooden Figure- Antique has ended.

This German carved figure is too nice to give to the resale shop. One of you might love it and trading is more fun. It measures 7" tall. It has a label on the bottom in German that says Heigl. A Tirolian looking guy leans upon a staff by a tree stump with his hunting dog close at hand. It is nicely carved, naturalistic, and well done by a master carver. He has a hunting rifle slung over his right shoulder and a knapsack on his back. He is in perfect condition, too.

It has a gold foil label with a German phone number and the name of the town, Oberammergau before the art house, Heigl. I am making my best guess when I say 1950's- 1970's. It is hard to tell because this is kind of a traditional art form in Germany, this kind of naturalism and this type of subject. This town is particularly famous for wood carving. If you win, you will see some very nice work.
